I thought I would introduce you to our latest living space, or our "country mansion" as Jeremy refers to it (slight exaggeration). It really is a beautiful place, bordered by a horse farm and the Riesling trail.
The living room is my favourite area, and the chair directly above is where much PhD-ing will be done...perhaps also some hair tearing out as well! The fireplace (1 of 3) will make things nice and cozy in the winter, but isn't currently required as it has been in the high 30s for the last three weekends. Sam likes the chair closest to the TV, where he can often be found in a very dignified position.
We actually bought these couches from a store! Our first non donated or bought secondhand from the Internet couches.
Isn't this kitchen beautiful? Jeremy made a delicious stir fry in it last night, and also cooked a big lasagna dinner for a group of friends who visited last weekend. The stove is just marvellous and there is also all sort of random lighting for extra ambience!
The bedroom doesn't have a lot in it, but it does fit our king sized bed and the quilt that Jeremy's aunt Lyn made us as a wedding gift goes very well with the wallpaper!
Just thrown in to show fireplace (well, wood stove really) #2 and the lovely looking doors leading into the dining room.
FYI, the mail doesn't deliver all the way out to our place in the edge of town, so just in case anyone needs or wants to mail us something, the address is PO Box 827, Clare SA 5453.
This weekend we are having more guests and attending an event called Shakespeare in the Vines. We're going to ride our bikes down to Sevenhill Winery and watch a performance of Macbeth while eating yummy picnic dinner from the gourmet picnic baskets we've ordered. Jeremy opted for the BBQ dinner, which also sounds quite tantalising with a selection of sausages, burgers, and 'schaslick' (I looked that up and discovered it's a sort of shish kebab). It looks to be a balmy evening, and I'm looking forward to lounging on a beanbag chair with wine and picnic food and watching a great play!
