Rainrainrainrainrainrainrain!

Officially finished my last summer class!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay for me, yay for my class, we are all awesome. Placement will fly by, and before we know it, it'll be semester 1, year 2.

Tomorrow we fly to Christchurch! We have a pretty strict itinerary and lots of driving to do. Hopefully it won't be constantly raining there since 90% of our trip will be spent in a tent! So excited to see Milford Sound, go tubing through glow worm caves, go on a Marlborugh wine tour, and just take in all the gorgeous scenery. I'm nervous about Auckland and being completely alone in an unfamiliar city, but the experience will be incredible. I won't see my friends for two whole months!

We've had an action packed weekend filled with great people. Friday night I went to Punjabi Palace (best Indian food ever) with Hayley, Jess, Leanne and a bunch of random physio students. Then we met up with Jeremy, Lindsay, Alastair, Hannah, and Jen in West End and had a couple of drinks, played pool, chatted, etc. It was really nice. Hayley is gone - she should be in Canada by now, despite missing her flight from Sydney to LA because her Brisbane flight was delayed. Lots of hugging and lamenting about how much we'd all miss each other. Jess stayed at our place Friday night and Jen came over Sat morning and we made a delicious brunch of bacon, eggs, and blueberry buttermilk pancakes with real maple syrup. The girls then watched Bring it On (somehow couldn't convince Jeremy.....strange), then more hugging. Jess will be away on her rural placement when I get back. She's furious - she got a tiny town called "Miles" 4.5 hours away from Brisbane. They had to preference their rural choices and it was her 27th choice! Yikes. Jen is taking off for Japan right after Christmas but she'll be around when I get back. The rest of the day was spent getting ready for our trip. Vacuuming, packing, etc. That night we headed to the German Club to meet up with my friend Alyssa from class. It was her boyfriend's birthday and she had said earlier in the week to Jeremy that him and Rob (her bf) would be sure to get along because "they are both tall". Always good criteria for a new friend! Hehehe. We had a great time at the German Club, and then I had a really nice chat with Gran on Skype until my credit was almost out! Jeremy was in the other room Skyping with his family, so we got to talk to them as well and have a good look at Caleb, who is adorable!

I'm about to go to Garden City and meet up with Marion, then maybe squeeze in a visit with Sarah and Aisling. Then tomorrow...well, we're really off to NZ!!!
