We are now the owners of a 1996 burgundy Mitsubishi Magna, thanks to Damian and his travel bug. It is a hilarious car...scratched, dented, giant and unwieldy...but it works, although sometimes when you try to start it, it doesn't work right away and you have to turn all the electronics off. We took it to Mt Glorious yesterday since we had heard rumours of a secret swimming hole. We brought Lisa along to check it out. The directions Jeremy received were as follows:
Go to Samford Valley to Mt Glorious Rd. The road will get steep at one point and there will be some curves. There will be a place to pull over. It's near there.
Very detailed! Luckily there were a few people there so we were clued in by the cars randomly parked on the side of the road. It was a gorgeous spot, much like the Currumbin Rock Pools, which we swam in a few months ago. The water was pretty darn cold but I bit the bullet and jumped in off of a rock. Lisa got her legs wet but had no desire to do anymore than that. Jeremy almost didn't get in, but knew he'd regret it if he didn't so he jumped off a bigger rock. It's a handy thing to know about for when it is hot again.
