Wow, apparently Damian leaving equals new stuff for J & L!

Our house somehow has a much more homey feel with Damian's old furniture in it. We got two red chairs, a real bookshelf, two storage drawer thingys, two pink stools and a wardrobe.

Tonight a whole bunch of things are going on but I just feel like staying home, so I think I will! This means we're missing TIME trivia night and two different housewarming parties. I'm okay with that.

Tomorrow is May Ball...the social event of the year for med students, but we're missing that as well. Way too expensive! We might head over to the after party, which is what we did last year. Then on Sunday there's the Caxton St Seafood and Wine Festival:

Every city in the world has distinct pockets of colour, culture and character. London has Covent Garden, Paris has Montmartre, New York has Time Square and out of Brisbane’s many precincts - one stands out from the crowd - Caxton Street - and on Sunday 2 May 2010, Caxton Street will be transformed into Queensland’s biggest street party! Sixteen years ago, the Caxton Street Festival had humble beginnings with a few little jazz bands and a couple of food tents. Fast forward to 2010 an estimated 12,000 people will be sampling a taste of life in one of Australia’s most historical precincts and treating their palettes (sic) to delicious seafood, fine wines and sharing a day under the autumn sun while enjoying the diverse array of musical talent that is sure to keep every festival goer happy – this is how to live it up!

One of my friends lives right near there and her housemate invited me out for a day of fun. It sounds excellent! This Monday is ANOTHER holiday (two weekends in a row, yes yes yes!) so that makes me happy too.

Hope all is well!
