36 degrees is too hot!

One Jeremy, two Russellites and a Winchesterian out on the town with some Australians = a lot of fun! Russellite? Winchesterian? What would you call yourself? Russeller? My friend Dan (from Russell) is in Brisbane at the moment so being the good new Brisbanites that we are, we made sure he had a memorable night! It started off here on good ol Sydney St. More houseguests! Yay. We are settling in. Dan came over fully armed with loads of pictures of his travels so far (he's already been to Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Cairns and has a month left of his trip and many more places to explore!). The Great Barrier Reef pictures were amazing. We walked over to the green bridge (officially the Eleanor Schonell Bridge) to meet up with Brendan (the Winchesterian...aka guy from Winchester who went to North Dundas and is the same age as me!! How crazy is that???) and then to Broadway Hotel to introduce them to the $10 STEAK AND SALAD BAR DEAL. They are now lifelong lovers of the Broadway Hotel. How could you not be? We filled ourselves up with deliciousness and then made or way to Fortitude Valley to meet Jen (a girl in Jeremy's class who is younger than me but already a pharmacist and now in med school).

Digression - Australia just makes so much more sense. Hey, how about we make it so that when you're done your undergraduate degree, you can be a useful contributing member of society right away? How about that???

Anyway. What followed was a pubcrawl whirlwind of epic proportions, followed by 4 am breakfast. So smart to have a breakfast joint smack in the middle of all the nightlife! I think we did Brisbane proud while showing Dan a good time :)

Now I'm just counting down the days till a certain Canadian best friend arrives here and we have to fulfill our responsibilities to Brisbane once again. It's a tough job, but we're up to the challenge. Jeremy gets 10 days off for Easter so it really couldn't come at a better time!

Oh - and it will also be the greatest thing ever when April comes and I NEVER HAVE TO THINK ABOUT STATISTICS AGAIN!!! (at least...not for awhile)
